Summary
The BI Technical Analyst develops and maintains computer applications using Visual Studio, JDEdwards, SSIS, SSRS and other tools and utilizing SQL Server Databases. The BI Technical Analyst works with other members of Application Development Team to provide support of the architect, design, code and test of new programs and applications, as well as modify existing programs and applications. The BI Technical Analyst is expected to provide input to the process of creating the methods and standards that are used by all Software Developers.
Responsibilities
* Delivers complete, tested, high quality, and compelling software products while ensuring sound design, process and quality practices are followed. * Helps define and adheres to development standards and methodologies. * Works with all IS groups and business customers to define projects, scope and development requirements. * Assists in the evaluation, implementation and documentation of new software development tools. * Supports delivered software and makes modifications as required. * Performs other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
**Required Skills** **Communication** * Excellent written and verbal skills. * Excellent listener. **Technical Capability** * Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). * Experience with Database Design, Stored Procedure Development and Maintenance in SQL Server. * Strong technical skills in information systems and software development. * Strong analytical and conceptual skills in order to develop effective solutions to multiple and diverse business problems. * Must have capability and willingness to participate and negotiate with clients and I/S staff to resolve application issues. * The ability to conduct work without significant input and guidance is necessary (self-starter). * Ability to evaluate and recommend new development tools and methods. Monitor technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities. * Ability to create design documentation for new and existing functionality. * Understanding of Windows and computer networks. * Understands the Business environment, goals and challenges and can make decisions that support meeting CM business goals. * Contribute to creation and/or documentation of software development processes, practices and operations to ensure reproducible development and high quality. **Personal and Social Competence** * High integrity and honesty, promoting trust in all actions. * Ability and willingness to share information with others. * Ability to travel as required by business necessity and to work a flexible schedule. * Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines. * Ability to establish strong relationships with the business clients and other technical stakeholders to discuss new systems, systems issues, maintenance, and enhancements. * Ability to work independently and as a contributing member of a team. * Able to manage multiple competing priorities. * Open to new ideas and methods. **Required Experience** * Associate’s Degree in Business or Information Systems–related area or equivalent combined experience. * Two years’ experience in enterprise level software development or equivalent through exposure to software systems in an information technology position. * Experience using Team Foundation Server. * Experience with Visual Studio/VB.Net Development.
