Technical Operations Engineer

Deploy and maintain systems for both infrastructure and production environments

- Support Company’s vision, mission and business goals - Support QA and development teams with development, testing and releases - Support multiple system environments: Production, Stage, Corporate, etc. - Recommend process improvements - Monitor and maintain systems and networks for performance and health - Perform routine maintenance on systems and networks - Automate tasks - Configuration and maintenance of system and network hardware - Perform maintenance tasks outside of production hours as needed - User support on an as-needed basis - Write documentation and train others - Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation - Valid CA license and ability to travel on Company business

- 3+ years of experience in a technical operations role supporting 7x24 - Strong aptitude for teamwork and collaboration - Ability to effectively troubleshoot system and network issues. - Scripting language experience with Windows: PowerShell, Unix: Python, shell - 3+ years of experience administering Windows: MS Server 2008, MS Server 2012, MS SQL - 3+ years of experience configuring and maintaining applications: IIS, Apache - 2+ years of experience administering UNIX: Solaris 10 and/or Linux - 2+ years of experience deploying, provisioning and maintaining virtualization technologies; AWS, VMWare, Hyper-V and/or Solaris zones - Experience with configuration management: puppet or similar. - Experience writing technical documentation - Desirable: demonstrated ability to lead a technical project to completion on budget, ontime - Desirable: technical experience in Oracle DB, Office365, Sharepoint, Jaspersoft BI, JBoss, Tomcat, Logstash, DNS, Exim or Sendmail, GIT, Jenkins, SVN, Mercurial SCM - Desirable: experience in Security management, Certificate management - Desirable: experience configuring and maintaining switches and firewalls **Physical Requirements** - Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time - Manual dexterity to use a telephone, and computer keyboard - Facility to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and to hear and understand speech on the telephone - Facility to speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal conversations and over the telephone - Physical ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds and to bend, stoop, walk and reach overhead - Physical agility to push/pull, squat, twist and turn - Mental acuity to perform the essential functions of this position in an accurate and timely manner; to make good judgments and decisions; and to evaluate the results of decisions and judgments
