Field Service Technician

* With assistance from the Warehouse Supervisor, prioritizes and schedules service calls and installation/pick-up of equipment. Drives company vehicle to customer site to perform required tasks. * With direction from customer and/or route person, identifies proper placement of equipment. Installs or removes equipment, utilizing plumbing and electrical skills where applicable. * Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. * Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. * Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. * Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. * Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts. * Starts devices to test their performance. * Initiates purchase order for parts and machines. * Responsible for maintenance of assigned vehicle, including but not limited to cleanliness, inspections, scheduled maintenance, etc. * Responsible for managing all parts inventory.

* High School diploma or General Education degree (GED). * Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years related experience in HVAC, electrical, or small appliance repair; familiarity with electrical and mechanical fundamentals. * Must be at least 21 years of age. * Must have an acceptable driving record. * Valid Driver's License. * Knowledge of plumbing and electrical fundamentals. * Must have outstanding customer service skills. * Limited or occasional overnight travel. * Must frequently lift and or move up to 35 pounds. May occasionally lift and or move up to 86 pounds (with assistance of lift or by two persons) and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 200 pounds (with assistance of lift and by two persons).
