Our mission starts by tackling the broken student lending market and changing the way people think about student loans. We accomplish this with lower interest rates for our borrowers, a state-of-the art technology platform, and high-touch customer service. Additionally, our 1-for-1 model is the first of its kind in financial services: for every degree fully funded on the CommonBond platform, we fund the education of a child in need for a full year through a partnership with Pencils of Promise. We are backed by great investors, have a killer team, and are growing rapidly! Integral to our success, the Technical Recruiter will focus on building out an incredible team of software developers. In terms of your background, you have experience recruiting developers, preferably within a recruitment agency or startup environment. You understand what developers respond to, where to find the best talent, and how to close candidates. As a technical recruiter, you have a solid understanding of general software development lingo, from coding languages to frameworks, and you have a knack for finding creative ways to source the highest level of talent. Most importantly, you want to be a part of an innovative company and drive growth and success.
Responsibilities
* Be responsible for full cycle recruitment for our engineering team, including sourcing, interviewing, and closing candidates * Partner with our Engineering Director to determine needs within the team and manage the hiring pipeline and process * Actively source for new hires through your networks and other third party platforms to uncover high level talent * Develop content around the CommonBond story to attract top quality candidates who will be excited to build company products * Process candidates through our tracking system and meticulously utilize data to create efficiencies in our recruitment process * Be the subject matter expert when it comes to tech recruitment and provide insights into what the market looks like and where to source candidates from * Attend career fairs, meetups, and hackathons to meet and recruiter tech talent
Ideal Candidate
* 3+ years of full cycle technical recruiting experience at a startup and/or agency; both preferred * Proven success delivering results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment * Professional but not stuffy – we’re sharp and competent but also fun * Team player – you want to be relied upon and you understand how others make your goals achievable * Sense of urgency – you want to “go, move, make things happen, and shake things up!” * Nimble – able to handle changing tasks and priorities and adapt quickly * Supreme ability to organize yourself and your tasks and manage your time * Bachelor’s degree and an objectively strong academic record
