Summary
Capital markets is responsible for sourcing investment capital to support CommonBond’s origination activity. The team manages external investor relationships and structures and executes transactions across loan sales, forward flow, securitization and warehouse financing. Additionally, we are continuously exploring innovative long-term funding solutions including open-ended funding vehicles and operating platforms
Responsibilities
* Assist team with the execution of deals through credit analysis, modeling, structuring and analytics. Will work across the spectrum of funding initiatives including loan sale partnerships, forward flow, securitization and warehouse financing * New product development – collaborate with various internal teams to develop and finance products that fit the needs of both our borrowers and investors * Sourcing – develop new investor relationships across products and asset classes * Assist in preparing investor marketing material to position CommonBond’s products * Internal infrastructure development – work with team members to enhance our in-house analytical capabilities * Work in conjunction with Finance regarding investor reporting and diligence requests
Ideal Candidate
* 2-7 years of asset-backed or consumer asset experience preferred * Prior experience in buy-side, securitization banking, structuring, trading, research, or analytics preferred * Outstanding analytical, quantitative and modeling skills * Strong communication skills; ability to articulate investment merits to potential capital partners * Capital markets (securitized products) knowledge * Ability to problem solve and work well in a fast-paced environment * Personal drive in an entrepreneurial atmosphere; desire to grow in a start-up culture * Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with a team * Bachelor’s degree; MBA a plus * Technical skills: MS Excel modeling, Bloomberg, Intex (desktop or dealmaker) * Computer programming skills a plus
