Summary
The successful candidate will be a seasoned data scientist who is best in class in terms of digital attribution and programmatic SEM optimization. This individual will be dedicated to driving meaningful and actionable analysis on integrated advertising and CRM campaigns as well as direct management of bidding and buying for paid search. This person will have a deep understanding of customer lifetime value, recurring revenue and subscription-based business models. S/he will also need to be nimble, creative and influential to evolve and push the business forward. The ideal candidate will have experience in roles combining marketing, customer insights, data analysis and business execution in a digital environment. Additionally, this person will need to be a strong leader for both their direct team of four as well as to the indirect cross-functional team.
Responsibilities
* Manage the attribution platform to identify the extent to which every digital marketing touchpoint contributes to each of our key performance indicators * Provide measurement, insights and planning assistance to various digital media teams * Analyze campaign and customer data to optimize programmatic purchasing to improve the quality of future marketing communications * Lead special cross-channel projects with high visibility and exposure with minimal project definition * Serve as the department liaison and Subject Matter Expert to division marketing and media teams for analytic strategies * Manage data scientist
Ideal Candidate
* Education Level-Bachelors degree. Masters degree a plus * Field of Study marketing/advertising, statistics, mathematics, business, or related field Certifications n/a Years Experience Pick based on level of the job * Demonstrated proficiency in web analytics and customer centric marketing * Quantitative field academic/professional experience (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering) * Attribution Platform knowledge (Adometry, VisualIQ, etc) * Experience with digital marketing or web analytics preferred (Omniture, CoreMetrics, Google Analytics, WebTrends, etc.) * Media Platforms and 3rd Party Tools (Marin, Google Adwords, DoubleClick, Bing Ads, BrightEdge, Facebook, etc.) * CRM Data Analysis (Customer Segmentation, Churn, Lifetime Value, Acquisition, etc.) * Track record in developing digital acquisition strategies to drive traffic and conversion * Has sophisticated ability to assess disparate data streams and distill them into meaningful and, ultimately, actionable strategic recommendations * Ability to handle multiple projects and to prioritize as needed in a fast moving environment * Seasoned leader with demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with business leaders, team members, and cross-functional partners * Well-honed influencing skills and ability to persuade minds and get things done across a large, complex organization. Courage to confidently express an independent point of view. * Search management or programmatic media purchasing background with agency experience required * Must have a proven track record in data-rich analyses, and be a team player, responsive and business savvy * A self-starter who conveys a sense of urgency, drives issues to closure, and gets things done * Knowledge of web measurement technologies such as: ad serving platforms (e.g., DART, Atlas), website analytics software (e.g., Omniture, Google Analytics), paid search engine marketing data sources (e.g., Google, Overture/Yahoo, Marin) * Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills * Strong understanding of advanced tracking techniques such as event tracking and cross-domain tracking * Ability to articulate complex strategies to an audience with varying degrees of marketing and analytics knowledge * Prior experience managing SEO campaigns, and/or Webmaster Tools a bonus * Excellent listening and cognitive skills and the ability to influence, shape and drive dialogue by building 'buy-in' across the organization on topics relevant to the consumer, the market and business strategy * Strong project management, presentation, and communication skills
