University Relations Lead

Come and be the newest and first member of our University Relations team at Cloudera, Inc. Cloudera is the most recognized and used platform for Apache Hadoop, an open source software framework that enterprise companies use to analyze their big data sets. By joining our recruiting team, you will help with the unprecedented growth Cloudera is experiencing by identifying the next generation of engineering talent that will ultimately help us remain the standard distributed platform for Apache Hadoop. As the University Relations lead, you will partner with our engineering managers to source, screen and close candidates, while assisting with process improvement, strategy development and gradual expansion of the University Relations team.

* Brand and promote Cloudera as an employer of choice on various university campuses * Manage full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing. * Extend, negotiate and close offers for new grad and intern candidates * Participate in campus events including but not limited to: job fairs, tech talks and hackathons * Help to ensure interviews are conducted efficiently and effectively * Participate in the planning and hosting of intern program activities

* 2+ years of recruiting experience (preferable in a fast paced, startup environment) * Bachelor’s degree * Ability to manage workload in a constantly changing environment * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Proven ability to build strong relationships with teammates, candidates and hiring managers * Some leadership skills preferred * Some travel required
