Summary
We are looking for a Technical Customer Success Manager to help our customers get value from their partnership with Cloudera, ensuring renewals and increasing customer loyalty. The CSMs help Cloudera’s strategic customers deploy and use the Apache Hadoop platform in production. Acting as the customer’s trusted advisor, CSMs manage a system of checks and balances between the company and the customer, following up on what the customer needs, aligning the appropriate Cloudera resources (engineering, training, or services), and doing technical troubleshooting and general relationship management. This includes understanding the customer’s use case(s), tracking progress, managing customer satisfaction, and ultimately helping the customer expand their use of the technology. A key aspect to success in the role is persistence: embed onsite with the customer to form a relationship of trust, anticipate needs, and act with agility and flexibility in the face of any situations that may arise. Candidates MUST have TS/SCI with Full Polygraph Clearance
Responsibilities
* Identify opportunities for the customer to increase the value they receive from Cloudera * Liaise with internal teams (sales, engineering, product and support) to ensure bi-directional communication and promote customer success * Lead regular touchpoints with the various groups within an account and drive account planning * Take ownership for the customer’s satisfaction with Cloudera * Onsite visits with the customer (typically 2-3 days/week onsite)
Ideal Candidate
* Great communication skills and a desire to build relationships * Strong organizational skills * A passion for technology * An understanding of support case management **Technical requirements:** * Strong knowledge of Java * Knowledge or Python and/or scripting languages * Strong knowledge of Linux * Experience with at least one RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, Teradata, etc) and writing SQL queries * An understanding of networking concepts **Nice to haves:** * Experience with Hadoop and related components (Hive, HDFS, YARN, Spark, HBase) * Knowledge of Machine Learning concepts * Experience with “NoSQL” data stores
