Senior Product Designer

Clara is a new kind of lender that harnesses the efficiency of technology and the power of data in entirely new ways. By streamlining and customizing the lending process, we strive to give everyone greater confidence over the outcome.

Our Senior Product Designer will be taking complex ideas and turning them into understandable and delightful products. You will create educational tools that will clarify financial terms and principles, and guide people through landmark financial moments. You will be instrumental to every part of our business, from our consumer product, internal processes, to our marketing needs.

* Design products that bring delight, clarity and empowerment to a complex process (home-buying) * Collaborate closely with your respective product team to have deep context and understanding of the problems at hand * Work on our consumer education content by designing interactive tools that help people understand one of the most important financial decisions of their lives * Build and challenge your teammates by providing thoughtful critique and insight

* You have a passion for beautiful and intuitive interactions and you're able to effectively communicate them to the broader team * You're Full-stack. UI/UX. Demonstrated experience with end-to-end product design, as well as with front-end programming HTML/CSS/Javascript * You’re hands on – you believe that you need to get your hands dirty in order to deeply understand the needs and shape your team accordingly * You know that understanding the problem you're solving is a significant part of the design process, and you’ve used design to solve complex human-centered problems and can demonstrate your process * You’ve designed and shipped consumer products, and have good consumer product intuitions * You are not afraid of complexity, and love the challenge of breaking it down for others * 4+ years professional experience; 2+ years of interaction design and 2+ years of visual design
