Today, we represent both the City Furniture and Ashley Furniture HomeStore brands and we've grown to have 16 City Furniture locations and 11 Ashley HomeStore locations throughout the state of Florida.
Summary
City Furniture, Florida’s largest furniture retailer with 26 City Furniture and Ashley showrooms, primarily in Southeast and Southwest Florida and a Magento powered website at www.cityfurniture.com, is currently seeking a full-time software engineer with extensive experience in PHP development and familiarity with the Magento e-commerce framework.
Responsibilities
* Maintain existing Magento codebase * Develop new Magento modules * Integrate Magento with 3rd party services via REST or SOAP API’s * Work with other departments to capture requirements and develop solutions * Assist with front-end development
Ideal Candidate
**Desired Qualifications** * Strong verbal and written communication skills * 2+ years experience with PHP using OOP * Magento experience * Understanding of MVC for web applications * Experience working with MySQL databases * HTML, CSS, and JavaScript experience with responsive web design * Familiarity with SOAP and REST based API’s * Version control using git **Preferred Qualifications** * Magento Certified Developer * Zend Certified Engineer * TDD with PHPUnit and Behat * Understanding of Agile programming methodologies Please be prepared to provide examples of PHP code that you have written as part of your application.
