Summary
Test Development Engineering- Enable scalable innovation, quality and productivity through: connecting the product lifecycle with the practical application of technology, accelerating roles and process evolution, driving engineering collaboration and talent development and providing efficient centralized technical services.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of product team to support new product test development and provide sustaining test support throughout the product life cycle.. - Understand product requirements to come up with test strategy and test plans to meet quality, reliability and cost goals. - Engage with the product teams to gain in depth system hardware knowledge to influence test strategy and/or DfX (Design for Test/Manufacturing/Reliability) changes. - Opportunity to learn about test for high-speed system hardware, e.g. CPU, memory/cache, IO, Industry Standard busses, DDRx memories. - Analysis of designs for testability, and design margin robustness. - Get experience in test and measurement equipment including High End Oscilloscope, Logic analyzer, traffic generators and influence equipment vendors to support leading edge technologies. - Participate in cross-functional Defect Reduction teams from engineering and supply chain to resolve product failures during engineering and manufacturing test processes. - Opportunity to do lab bring-up/debug for products and components and design lab experiments to do root cause investigation of issues. - Provide analysis of manufacturing test data, and look for areas to improve quality, reliability, and cost. - Develop web services/applications and algorithms to automate test life cycle management.
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Qualifications** - Desired Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering - Blend knowledge of hardware, software, and systems architecture to develop software modules used to test Cisco products. - Possess knowledge of source control tools, modular and reusable coding methods to develop library modules used by other engineers to test Cisco products. - Possess knowledge of applied statistics, analytics, and data visualization tools. - Possesses knowledge about Web services/applications and database development. **Desired Skills** - Possess direct knowledge of Python or R statistical software environments are a big plus - Possesses direct knowledge of Java and J2EE/Java EE (including servlets, JSP, JSF, JDBC) is a big plus
