System Engineer

We have an exciting Mobility Systems Engineer position open on our team! This position will entail leading the technical pre-sales engagement with one of Cisco's most exciting customers. In this position, you will be working with customer and Cisco industry experts to help position, certify and drive adoption of leading edge systems and technologies! Be part of a strategic team and drive innovation in Global Service Provider customers. Help develop the sales strategy, provide the design, bring in your resources and help close the deal. You'll be able to demonstrate your capabilities and stay current in both technology and business innovations. Bring Cisco's capabilities to the forefront, using your own brand and style!

* The ideal candidate will have a level of comfort communicating across all functions within Cisco, as well as with customers and partners. * Related technical knowledge is essential, and sales skills are important. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a pre-sales engineering background and experience in supporting large service provider opportunities (e.g., gathering client needs/requirements, design/architect, BOMs, SOWs, demo's, Proof of Concepts, proposals, client presentations). * This is a good opportunity for someone to work as a leader in the technology field with today's most innovative customers in a demanding and rapidly growing environment. * The role will be focused on Mobility Core (EPC), Gi-LAN services, Policy Server, RAN Backhaul, NFV and SDN.

**Minimum Qualifications** * BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent; MBA or MS a plus * 10+ years-related experience. * Excellent and polished communication skills, presentation skills, and client facing skills. Confident and comfortable in leading client discussions with executives as well as engineers. * Ability to participate as a team member and assume a leadership role for the team. * Ability to understand complex technical and selling situations and the ability to solve the problem or solicit the required resources. * Strong background in software applications, particularly mission critical applications deployed within Service Provider's networks * Mobility background, particularly in relation to 4G, Mobility Gateways, Policy Server and related functions * Understand large scale application design and operations. * Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills. * Ability to mentor and develop team members and foster an inclusive development environment. * At least 5 years of professional experience of working with Service Provider (preferably Mobile Operators) * Cisco product experience (preferred) * Experience with Cisco Service Provider platforms such as ASR9K , ASR5K, UCS, and AIC * Familiarity with 3GPP LTE and related technologies * Background in Routing and Switching as well as RAN backhaul technologies * Understanding and conversant about company, competitors, technologies, solutions, product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. **Desired Skills** * Formulate and communicate a solution/vision * Develop and communicate relevant business outcomes * Ability to define detailed feature specifications working with customers and Cisco engineering teams * Mentor developing team members * Familiarity with Orchestration and Automation tools such as ConfD, NetConf / YANG Data Models * Knowledge of Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and its applications in LAN and WAN applications * Knowledge of Network Management applications and FCAPS model * Experience with end to end solution development in Mobile Operator environment - specifically Mobility Gateways and Gi-LAN services * Exposure to Policy in modern networks, particularly Cisco's Policy solutions
