Senior Manager Product Management: Network Data Platform and Contextual Insights

This position requires a well-rounded individual but someone capable of going to depth on many topics, both inbound and outbound. We are looking for someone who can distill from a complex problem landscape actionable work and lead the team to get it done. As with any product management role in a large IT company, day-to-day responsibilities will span the entire product management lifecycle and include deep interaction with customers, sales, and engineering. Specific responsibilities include:
- Gathering requirements from customers, sales and support and driving ongoing prioritization of product investments
- Develop detailed personas, use cases and functional requirements to communicate these needs to engineering
- Driving roadmap, requirements and feature delivery for new product features
- Collaborating with product marketing to support creation of customer driven messaging and content
- Serving as the subject matter expert for in Analytics, IT and Application Delivery on top of Data Platform.
- Note: Title will depend on the candidate’s level of experience and fit for the position.
Ideal candidates will have the following profile:
- Experience in product management or developing software
- Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (e.g. AppDynamics, NewRelic)
- Experience with performance tools (e.g. Cacti, etc)
- Experience with Cisco and Networking technologies : Switching, Routing, Wireless
- Experience with Software Defining Networking product lines, NFV.
- Experience with reporting and analytics solutions and a familiarity with the analytics ecosystem [Splunk, BO, LogRythm etc..]
- Experience building GUI and/or web applications and designing user experience
- Ability to write, defend and execute on business cases
- Proven ability to lead without authority
Additional:
- Web analytics products (Omniture, Google Analytics, etc) and/or web based BI tools and Splunk knowledge
- Software development lifecycle methods (e.g. waterfall, Agile / scrum) and typical process steps
- Experience and familiarity with IT management products and services
- Fluency in analysis of unstructured data sets
- App frameworks and portal markup syntax
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g. EE, CS); MBA or similar degree highly preferred
