Billing Specialist

The Billing and Collections Specialist is responsible for performing a wide variety of clerical/computer activities related to service billing and collections as directed by the Administration Director. The Billing and Collections Specialist will be responsible for maintaining all billing activities of Chrysalis Health Programs. He/she will assist with monitoring and auditing billing sheets against documented service provision. The Billing and Collections Specialist will maintain all billing information submitted and entered into billing database. This individual will be responsible for all updates and changes made to the database system. The Billing and Collections Specialist will assist when necessary in verifying Medicaid or HMO eligibility. The Billing and Collections Specialist will assist with all collections functions.

* Must complete billing and collections activities within specified timeframe * Knowledge of the Medicaid billing codes and reimbursement rates * Assists with ongoing audits to ensure compliance and quality assurance of services provided

High school diploma or GED with a minimum of one-year computer experience; preferably in a financial/accounts receivable setting. * Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and Winasap 2000 * Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written skills * Maintains current annual training requirements * Must successfully complete all criminal background screens annually * Must possess valid FL driver’s license with good driving record
