Summary
As a Copywriter for Chrome Industries, you will be responsible for authoring compelling, SEO-optimized product and marketing copy to be used across all touch points – print, digital, and retail, with a strong emphasis on digital. You will draw upon your knowledge of and passion for the Chrome brand and work closely with the Product team to construct conversion-centric product copy for the Chrome website. You will work closely with the Marketing team to develop blog, email and social media content, and creative content to support specific campaigns and initiatives. You will also be responsible for the execution of social media content sharing and engagement management. You will work in partnership with the Marketing team to create a unique tone of voice that matches our brand and builds trust with our end fans. While we embrace our uniquely urban approach to “Living The City”, our voice should not compromise simplicity and readability.
Responsibilities
* Write conversion-focused, benefit-oriented product copy across each of our assortment categories (footwear, apparel, bags, and accessories). * Build relationships and regular touch points with product design/development and fit testing teams to better understand product attributes, features, end use, and sizing considerations and translate into consumer-centric copy. * Manage social media content, posting, engagement, and analytics, feeding back key findings to Marketing, Product, and Operations teams. * Partner with eCommerce merchandising team to understand key assortment trends, opportunities, and vision in order to prioritize copywriting efforts. * Work closely with eCommerce marketing team and external agencies to understand key trends in search acquisition keywords to ensure effective usage and cadence throughout product detail and landing page copy. * Monitor key landing pages, top selling products, and long tail to optimize copy efforts for natural search growth. * Proof and edit peer copy and other company documentation. Ideal Candidate
* BA/BS in English, Journalism, Communications, Linguistics, or other writing-intensive program, or equivalent professional experience * 3+ years of copywriting experience for a branded manufacturer or pure play retailer * Deep understanding of SEO and its impact on organic and paid search acquisition * 2+ years of social media management experience for a branded manufacturer or retailer. * Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe CS applications * Working knowledge of HTML and its importance for SEO * Proven track record in advertising and product-related writing and editing; acute attention to detail; strong interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment * Expert in editing, grammar and proofreading techniques The ideal candidate will have previous experience writing product and marketing copy for a branded apparel/footwear manufacturer online, as well as social media management experience. They will possess a strong attention to detail and passion for understanding their impact on product conversion and landing page success, and will have strong experience managing and developing branded social media accounts. In previous work experiences, they will have defined a copy style guide to define repeatable standards and language and performed quality audits on existing product detail pages to ensure adherence to style guide.
