Summary
The Manager, Ambulatory PCS is a professional who has primary responsibility for the operational, clinical and educational functions of Endocrinology and Spina Bifida clinical staff and will supervise all clinical staff.
Responsibilities
* The Manager will plan programs that facilitate the development of staff and will delegate portions of this responsibility to the appropriate clinical staff with expertise. * While maintaining a team approach to the shared responsibilities, the Manager will function independently. * The Manager will collaborate with the physician leadership and clinical staff to achieve the goals and objectives of the Ambulatory Care Services area. * The Manager will be responsible for maintaining skills of the staff to initiate and carry out ethical discourse. * The Manager will ensure that all policies/procedures are age and/or developmentally appropriate. * The Manager will function as a change agent and will demonstrate commitment to a patient and family focused model of care.
Ideal Candidate
* Two years of recent pediatric experience required. Experience in pediatric Endocrinology, Diabetes education, fiscal management and supervisory experience preferred. * Current Registered Nurse California Licensure, BSN, CPR and PALS. * Certified Diabetes Educator preferred. * Demonstrated organizational skills and excellent communication skills.
