Job Description
- The Child Mind Institute seeks a results-driven Clinical Marketing Coordinator to support efforts to brand the organization, increase visibility, attract patients and partners, and develop and implement outreach strategies in line with organizational objectives.
- The Clinical Marketing Coordinator manages school outreach and email marketing for clinical programs, organizes and promotes our parent/educator workshops, coordinates other types of marketing events, and helps plan CMI's presence at professional conferences.
- The position reports to the Marketing Director within the Marketing and Communications Department, and requires the ability to work occasional evening and weekend events.
Responsibilities
- Serve as outreach liaison to clinical programs and coordinate promotion of the clinical practice.
- Manage and maintain relationships with referral sources.
- Make introductions to key clinical staff to facilitate their relationships and assist in follow up.
- Manage parent and educator workshops, receptions, clinical conferences and professional development trainings.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Marketing and Communications department to plan webpages, email campaigns, and online listings, develop promotional materials, conference programs, participant handouts, and signage.
- Provide event planning and logistical support for workshops and marketing events, some of which may occur during evening or weekend hours.
- Manage live chat and webcasting for any events that are streamed online.
- Create and execute on email marketing plans: establish goals and strategies, determine the overall communications arc, maintain a calendar of outbound messaging, draft email messages, and work with colleagues in Marketing and Communications to ensure the quality of email sent and measure performance.
- Assist in development and implementation of marketing plans for the clinical practice and specific clinical programs.
- Help manage the referral database and improve the quality of marketing intelligence
- See that contacts are put into the correct segments (parent, educator, medical or mental health professional) to facilitate targeted communications. Pull targeted lists for calls, event invites, and email or print mailings.
- Research individual and company prospects.
- Work with colleagues to create new processes and methods to track outreach.
- Work with data specialists and database consultants to improve segmentation and implement new projects.
- Write promotional copy, including cultivation letters, marketing presentations, one-pagers, and event descriptions.
- Work closely with in-house editors and designers to develop marketing materials that demonstrate the impact of the Child Mind Institute's work and coordinate production and distribution of print/digital collateral.
- Create and produce accurate reports and charts.
- Work with outside partners and vendors as well as internal stakeholders to build lasting relationships.
- Monitor project deliverables and timelines, notify leadership when issues arise, and take corrective actions, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- BA/BS degree in communications, marketing or related field.
- 3-5 years experience in marketing with demonstrated creativity in communications and outreach initiatives
- Solid understanding of marketing project management.
- Relevant experience planning, organizing and marketing events.
- Relevant experience planning email marketing campaigns, building and sending email blasts, and measuring performance.
- Experience using a CRM such as Salesforce.
- Knowledge of the mental health community and experience working with New York City schools preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and research skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take initiative, and work both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
- Knowledge of best practices for permission-based email and data-driven marketing.
- Ability to work at events that may occur on evenings and weekends.
