Release Manager - VISTA

CGI is undertaking a state-wide implementation of an Electronic Medical Record System. This exciting engagement requires that CGI develop and support a coordinated, comprehensive community-based mental health system throughout state operated facilities across NYS.CGI is seeking to hire a Release Manager to work on site in the Albany NY area in support of this initiative.

* Plan releases including, but not limited to, scoping, estimating, resourcing, scheduling, establishing traceability, and documenting agreements. * Manage releases including, but not limited to the following: * Ensure traceability to scope and requirements. * Drive completion of all activities according to the established schedule throughout the SDLC and across contributing vendors and parties. * Monitor and reporting on progress. * Identify, escalate and resolve issues. * Identify, escalate and mitigate risks. * Manage resources to achieve project goals and team member performance and growth targets. * Work with the technical and configuration management teams to help ensure that the appropriate environments and processes are in place to support planned releases. * Identify, track, and measure key metrics for releases. Leverage metrics to improve processes, increase efficiency, lower program/project costs, and improve quality of work products. * Provide status to Project Manager for release management. * Ensure client expectations are being appropriately established and managed. * Manage and develop client relationships where possible and appropriate. * Ensure all work products are properly internally and externally reviewed as required. * Work with staff to ensure processes & procedures are defined and followed. * Assist with the management of the technical team.

* Bachelor's Degree * At least 5 years' experience in release management, and demonstrated proficiency with release management methodology, process, tools and deliverables. * Experience in release management for complex multi-vendor solutions that use both waterfall and agile methodologies. * Demonstrated ability to plan and manage releases. * Strong communication skills including ability to communicate effectively with peers, management, subcontractors and clients at multiple locations. * Excellent organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and track work to completion. * Schedule flexibility, particularly during intensive stages of releases. * Experience with release management in the health care field. * Desired: knowledge of VistA At CGI, we're a team of builders.
