Summary
CGI is seeking a full-time Senior Software Development and Support Director to oversee software development and support activities of our multiple solutions within the Healthcare Compliance Group. This position must be based in Cleveland, OH. Viable candidates will have at least 15+ years of experience managing teams involving, complex software development projects. Desired candidates will have experience overseeing multiple, simultaneous development and support projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage teams responsible for delivery of ongoing support, enhancements and new development - Facilitate resolution for escalated issues and engage the necessary technical resource - Monitor SLA activity of CGI's delivery teams and implement corrective measures, when required - Actively facilitate IT staff meetings as well as participate in Operational and Management meeting - Manage issues, risks and prioritizations, keeping senior management apprised of status - Apply CGI quality methodologies across client engagements and identify necessary enhancements - Motivate the managers through performance coaching, career planning and educational objectives - Retain top quartile(s) staff within team - Must have experience in preparing executive reports and presenting them to senior management - Ensure IT workflows are operating effectively and efficiently, while meeting client requirements
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 15 years of experience, but preferably 10 years of leadership experience in application development and support * Successful execution and delivery of application development projects * Ability to focus on both development and support activities concurrently * Diplomatic skills and strong communication skills are critical - Operations experience with demonstrated abilities in leading a sizeable application development and support team - Performance management experience addressing Service Level Agreements - Experience in remote stakeholder and delivery management - Experience in providing delivery oversight and motivational leadership to teams of more than 20 members - Competence in delivery through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle and support processes - Experience in implementation and improvement of IT processes - Demonstrated financial management abilities for multi-million dollar scope - Availability for occasional travel - Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project) as well as Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Visual Studio - Able to organize information workflows and prioritize deliverables - Strong focus on producing quality work to all clients at all times - Able to make informed decisions based on the factors involved - Able to create synergy within a group of individuals in order to reach the team and organizational objectives - Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) - Project Management - Minimum of bachelor degree in a STEM discipline At CGI, we're a team of builders.
