Summary
The Specialist I is responsible for the supporting daily operation of the helpdesk ticketing, desktop support, printing, IP telephony including enterprise infrastructure routers, switches, firewalls and overall networking. Responsible in supporting resolution of service calls.
Responsibilities
* Daily operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the enterprise network and network-related systems, such as authentication servers, IP telephony servers, firewalls, DNS, remote access systems, LAN connectivity devices, wireless etc. * Support resolution of Level 2-3 service calls, as needed, in a timely manner. * Support installation and maintenance of LAN/WAN circuits via corporate (e.g. T-1, OC-3, frame relay). * Support telcom add/ moves/ changes infrastructure. * Provides project support in the timely completion of Network Services projects, milestone dates * Works with corporate in, supports of Cisco Routers and Switches in a WAN network environment. * Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose network problems. * Prepares and maintains documentation of network configurations. * Supports telcom infrastructure. Assists with the administration and setup of phones and telephone based systems * Accurately record, update and document requests using corporate IT service desk ticketing system. * Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose network problems. * Assists with installation and maintenance of desktops, printers and network related hardware * Assist in special projects as assigned by management. * Assist users with logged IT related incident service request. * Support resolving incidents and upgrade software and hardware ie. desktops, printers, copiers and scanners * Assists in supporting corporate applications, to the user(s) desktop. * Setup install, configure user computers for new users and ensure delivery of equipment In a timely manner * Assists with installation, maintenance, and support of servers. * Knowledge of GAMP/GMP Standards * Knowledge of 21CFr Part 11 * Ability write GMP Documents like SOP and WP and Validation Documents
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor degree in computer science, related field or equivalent experience required with at least 4 years of relevant IT experience; 2 years in enterprise networking * Good knowledge of enterprise networking (wired and wireless), network security, switch configurations, router configurations, firewall configurations, IP telephony, and network protocols at all layers of the OSI model; * Experience with the Cisco product line is required; CCNA required * Vmware VCA / VCP 4 or 5 * Good knowledge of Microsoft desktop & server operating systems (Server 2008 above) networking components.
