Scientist I, Formulation Development

Celgene Corporation is a global integrated biopharmaceutical company primarily engaged in the discovery, development and commercialization of innovative therapies designed to treat cancer and immune-inflammatory related diseases in patients with limited treatment options.

Celgene is seeking a Formulation Development Scientist for our R&D facilities in New Jersey.

• In this role, you will provide formulation development support for high priority drug candidates in the therapeutic areas of immunology and inflammation, hematology, and oncology.
• You will execute studies to design novel formulations and manufacturing processes for solid oral and injectable dosage forms.
• You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to identify, define, and resolve challenges that arise during development related to pharmacokinetics, stability, packaging, and manufacturing technologies.
• This professional will participate in new equipment and technology evaluations, and will transfer technology and manufacturing processes from R&D to manufacturing sites.
• Other responsibilities include contribution to technical reports, external publications (as appropriate), regulatory submissions, and patent applications.

• A Bachelors or Masters Degree in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering, chemistry or a closely related discipline is preferred.
