Summary
Celgene is seeking a Formulation Development Scientist for our R&D facilities in New Jersey.
Responsibilities
* In this role, you will provide formulation development support for high priority drug candidates in the therapeutic areas of immunology and inflammation, hematology, and oncology. * You will execute studies to design novel formulations and manufacturing processes for solid oral and injectable dosage forms. * You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to identify, define, and resolve challenges that arise during development related to pharmacokinetics, stability, packaging, and manufacturing technologies. * This professional will participate in new equipment and technology evaluations, and will transfer technology and manufacturing processes from R&D to manufacturing sites. * Other responsibilities include contribution to technical reports, external publications (as appropriate), regulatory submissions, and patent applications.
Ideal Candidate
* A Bachelors or Masters Degree in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering, chemistry or a closely related discipline is preferred. * Opportunities are available for candidates with all levels of experience, from entry level to industry expert. * The candidate should have a solid understanding of basic chemistry and/or engineering, good analytical and problem solving skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
