Summary
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse IV for 5NE, a Coronary Observation and medical stepdown and telemetry unit. A friendly environment that offers challenges and continuing education in the cutting edge of cardiology.
Responsibilities
* The Registered Nurse IV assumes the responsibility and accountability for the supervision and application of the nursing process throughout the delivery of patient care. * Applies clinical knowledge regarding standard of care to consolidate interventions for time and cost savings. * Demonstrates knowledge of regulatory requirements in patient assignment making delegations of tasks, documentation. * Coordinates care for the delivery team. * Demonstrates a commitment of customer service and an ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues. * Demonstrates leadership through initiative, creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork. * The Registered Nurse, Clinical Nurse IV, as an expert professional practitioner, assumes responsibility and accountability for the expert application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. * Consistently demonstrates professional skills and abilities, utilizes knowledge base and exemplary leadership and educational skills to direct and supervise the clinical performance of others in the role of collegial consultant and resource person. * Demonstrates motivation and creativity and serves as a catalyst for effective changes within Nursing at the unit, service line and institutional levels. * The Clinical Nurse IV performs within the scope of responsibility, duties and accountability at the facility department and position levels including knowledge of practice of the clinical/technical skills necessary to the position consistent with the Nurse Practice Act. * Nursing job duties are to meet the Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, Joint Commission and The Plan for Provision of Nursing Care and The Plan for Provision of Care to Patients, and other regulatory requirements.
Ideal Candidate
**Education Certifications/Licensure Experience** * Physical Abilities Requirements include graduate from an accredited nursing program with BSN and specialty certification preferred. * Current California RN License, American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, ACLS, and 5 years recent acute RN experience. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills is also required. **Minimum Physical Requirements with or without reasonable accommodation:** * Full sensory response (vision, speech, hearing, smell, touch) * Manual finger dexterity and fine motor skills with eye-hand coordination * Frequent standing, walking, twisting (trunk, neck), bending (waist), flexing/extending/stretching (extremities and trunk) * Occasional sitting, gripping/grasping, reaching below shoulder level, reaching above shoulder level, kneeling, squatting * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull at least 100 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds
