We currently have an opening for a Senior Analyst in our Corporate Strategy and Development (CSD) group. CSD has two sub-teams focused on i) Corporate and Business Unit Strategy, ii) Corporate Development. This role is to work in the Corporate Development sub-team, but successful candidates may move between the teams based on project requirements over time.
Responsibilities
• Applies screening framework to analyze and screens acquisition and alliance targets • Builds and manage proprietary M&A target database • Carries out secondary research activities focused on market sizing, competitive landscape mapping and barrier to entry analysis • Creates sound financial models(DCF) and comparable company and transaction analysis • Supports identification and execution of alliances and acquisitions that accelerate corporate and practice strategy • Supports due diligence process and efforts • Partners with senior team members, and can probe CEB members, prospects and staff on business case issues and questions • Prepares insightful, accurate and detailed interview notes that clearly and crisply highlight the key strategic and economic benefits and risks of a transaction • Distills large amounts of information and data from multiple sources into meaningful, powerful conclusions • Assists in the preparation of research findings to the CEB Leadership Team ("CLT") and other senior audiences • Participates in department planning and "brainstorming" sessions for new research initiatives and assisting in new businesses viability assessments
Ideal Candidate
• 1-3 years’ experience in Corporate Strategy / I-Banking / Management Consulting • Graduate degree(s) preferred • Strong project and process management skills • Original / creative thinking and structured problem-solving abilities • Highly polished client-facing communication, influence and interpersonal skills • Strong oral and written communication skills, including visual depiction of insights and ideas • Ability to create/operate in a culture of accountability and deliver results on targets • Strong work ethic and practical orientation • Collaborative, team player • Fluency in language(s) or living/working abroad advantageous • Exposure to software or technology based businesses advantageous
