Summary
The Acquisition/Investment Analyst is responsible for analyzing and underwriting potential acquisitions and dispositions.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Investments Team in the analysis of potential acquisitions including, but not limited to: * Determining preliminary income and expense projections * Evaluating in-place and market rents * Assessing economic, demographic and real estate market data * Analyzing sales comp data * Preparing (and ensuring the accuracy of) the valuation models / pro-formas * Play an active role in the due diligence process * Prepare preliminary financial packages for Investment Committee with supporting exhibits * Maintain and regularly update pro-formas during the lifecycle of investments, from the initial valuation and due diligence process through business plan execution and disposition. * Actively participate with the Investments Team in evaluating and closing real estate transactions (both acquisitions and dispositions). * Prepare cash flow projections and business plans to evaluate investment alternatives and support exit strategies. * Provide analytical support to the Investments Team to help the company maximize investment returns. * Assist with special projects for the Chief Investment Officer.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree with high academic achievement * Two to five years of professional experience * Working knowledge of real estate investment * Significant knowledge of Excel and Word applications * Exceptional analytical skills * Experienced modeling cash flows * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills * Ability to prioritize work and display excellent time management skills * Strong interpersonal skills; builds effective relationships * Effective and timely decision making skills * Drives for measurable results
