Summary
The Coordinator II, Digital Design is responsible for producing and managing Digital Creative material for CarMax's advertising and interactive channels. Their role is to utilize emerging technology to develop digital advertising, including direct marketing email, to assist customers in understanding CarMax equities and maintain a consistent CarMax brand image. This position reports directly to a Manager on the Creative team.
Responsibilities
**Interactive design and execution** * Work with Creative Managers and Directors to understand visual executions and to produce HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery and Flash to allow these designs to be utilized in multiple channels. * Work with developers to troubleshoot and streamline existing digital executions. * Design and code responsive emails to render well across different email clients (Outlook, Gmail, Outlook.com, Yahoo). * Manage and create responsive web content using variety of Content Management Systems including: Web, email, search merchandising and others. * Maintain knowledge of emerging technology and creative trends by attending relevant conferences and continuous education courses **Collaboration with team members** * Meet with Directors, Managers, Designers, and Copywriters to develop standards for Digital Creative that support CarMax Marketing objectives and goals. * Active participation in team meetings and client meetings. * Partner with Creative Manager, Creative Director and Clients to discuss interactive implementations, and incorporate feedback as necessary. * Partner with other Marketing and Advertising team members to coordinate consistency across different mediums and to facilitate completion of projects within established schedules and guidelines. **Presentation to clients** * Present creative solutions to clients and other vested stakeholders. * Discuss and explain technology behind presented solutions. * Incorporate client feedback and re-present as needed.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Ability to understand strategic goals and develop Interactive solutions to support them * Ability to build and maintain strong relationships * Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner while balancing time, multi-tasking and interruptions * Ability to resolve customer service issues in a positive and professional manner * Strong knowledge of Digital Design including HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery and Flash **EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:** * Four year college degree (Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Marketing, Communication, Graphic Design) strongly preferred, but not required * Two or more years of Interactive design experience in a Creative agency or in-house Web department * Experience working with clients in a Creative environment * Must be proficient in the use of Apple OS X and Microsoft Windows * Experience with ExactTarget (Email Service Provider) and Litmus (Email Testing and Analytics) a plus
