Summary
We’re looking for an entrepreneurial Director of Customer Insights to join our Consumer Marketing team. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the multi-trillion dollar automotive industry by extending our insights regarding customer wants and needs in the automotive space and translating those insights into actionable recommendations. This is a highly collaborative role that will have an opportunity to support and influence our marketing and product strategies.
Responsibilities
* Launch and manage a robust voice of the customer program, including NPS surveying, regular usability testing, concept testing and other insights gathering in partnership with product management and marketing * Develop rich profiles of and insights regarding the CarGurus consumer and key consumer segments to support the development of marketing and product development strategies * Lead ongoing monitoring of brand health metrics * Partner with internal stakeholders to develop actionable consumer insights to support the consumer insights needs of our PR, ad sales and dealer marketing teams. * Partner with internal stakeholders to match research objectives to the right data gathering strategies * Monitor and distribute third party research insights relevant to our audience
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree from a top school required * 7+ years of experience in market research/related fields working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * A drive to understand consumer behavior, wants and needs and to translate research findings into actionable insights and recommendations * Expertise in a variety of consumer insights gathering approaches spanning quantitative and qualitative methods (surveying, usability testing, focus groups, 1-1 interviewing, website and customer data mining) * Excellent analytical skills, quantitative and qualitative * Excellent communication skills * Strong judgement to determine what can be accomplished through scrappy, hands-on efforts and where outside expertise should be leveraged * A team player with a highly collaborative mindset * The appetite and tenacity to roll up your sleeves and build an insights program from the ground up * Multi-national experience a plus
