Summary

Cargill Beef, located in High River, AB, has an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Health Nurse. You will be responsible to provide education, support, and medical treatment to the employees,contractors and visitors in order to protect, maintain and improve their overall level of health and wellness. You will primary be responsible for triage and treatment of employees with work related and personal injuries/ illnesses, health surveillance activities, and health promotion / injury prevention including facilitation and management of the Cargill conditioning program.

Responsibilities
  • 25% - Triageand treatment of employees with work related and personal injuries/ illnesses.
  • 15% - Managementof the Cargill Conditioning Program
  • 10% - Filing/ Administrative Duties
  • 10% -Pre-placement medicals
  • 10% - Customer service to Health Services department clients (answer phone, questions, assist with completing paperwork)
  • 10% - Managementof the Health Surveillance Program
  • 10% - Wellness/ Health Promotion Activities
  • 5% - Facilitationof weekly onsite Physician clinic
  • 5% - Drug& Alcohol screening / Follow-up
Ideal Candidate

Required:

  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse with CARNA
  • First aid and triaging experience
  • Demonstrated strong computer/technical skills and capabilities (e.g. Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Powerpoint)
  • Proven ability to multitask
  • Demonstrated autonomous decision maker
  • Ability to work with others of diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work in continuously changing environment
  • Able to work a flexible work schedule which includes second shift and weekends
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

Preferred:

Occupation Health experience
