Summary
The Marketing Communications Consultant is responsible for helping to reposition, launch and manage the Global IT brand with internal Cargill stakeholders. This position is a member of the Global IT Communications team, and brings deep branding and marketing communications subject-matter expertise and experience when providing counsel and support to leaders and business partners within the Global IT function.
Responsibilities
**90% Marketing Communication Planning & Execution:** * Working with the Manager of Communications, develop and implement a multi-year and annual integrated marketing communications plan that redefines the Global IT brand in the minds of critical Cargill stakeholders worldwide. * Ensure the Global IT brand reflects the vision and goals of Global IT leadership, and aids the function’s ability to communicate and engage its employees while influencing perceptions across Cargill businesses. * Lead the design, development and execution of critical and creative marketing communications campaigns that showcase how Global IT is a key driver for Cargill’s current and future performance. Includes stakeholder identification and segmentation, message hierarchy development, materials development and measurement against key performance indicators. * Demonstrate a solid understanding of the principles of brand building; generate a brand vision and promise, and help advise and counsel senior leaders on ways to develop and build the brand today and over time. * Demonsrate knowledge of the evolution of marketing and marketing communications, from ‘paid, earned and owned’ to an end-to-end, differentiated brand experience. Have a good working knowledge of how to extract and leverage client and customer insights to inform everything from planning to improving operations and the overall brand experience. * Develop a compelling content strategy as part of the marketing communications plan and campaigns. Leverage direct experience recommending, developing and distributing new and innovative content. * Build relationships with key internal clients across global regions through solid strategic counsel, plan development and excellence in execution. * Participate in annual communications and CCE planning. * Review and provide feedback on the communications team’s processes, approaches, key objectives, and methodologies, with an eye on marketing communications needs and skills. * Help build a high-performing communications team by modeling desired behaviors and serving as a mentor to junior members of the team. **10% Other related duties as assigned**
Ideal Candidate
**Required** * Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, Public Relations or related field * 8 years of experience in progressively elevated marketing or marketing communications positions working on large-scale plans, campaigns and projects * Agency or corporate brand building experience * Demonstrated ability to be successful in ambiguous environments * Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization and cross-function/platform * Ability to frame the message and facilitate discussions with stakeholders, including senior leadership * Deep experience in different marketing and/or marketing communications tactics, tools and content * Proven ability to embrace and drive change in the organization * Demonstrated ability to drive for results in a dynamic setting * Proven ability to influence at all levels within an organization * Drive for outcomes and results while staying aligned with overall strategy **Preferred** * Advanced degree in marketing, marketing communications, communications or public relations * Experience working in a complex, global environment * Deep experience in marketing and/or marketing communications * Global branding experience
