Agency Manager - Commercial Insurance

The Commercial Insurance Agency Manager will provide strategic leadership over all business development, marketing and operations for this independent insurance agency in northeast Iowa. The organization is closely connected to local businesses and the community. You will help set and achieve growth goals while also focusing on the development and success of the sales and service teams. This is a terrific opportunity for an experienced property and casualty insurance professional who demonstrates strong leadership qualities and an understanding for rural insurance and business climate.

* You're responsible for instituting new business development procedures that generate revenue including personal contributions to sales and networking, training and mentoring of current producers and identifying cross selling opportunities. * You're involved in marketing and customer service structures to generate a high level of retention, meet the ongoing needs of business and personal clients, and obtaining competitive carrier contracts. * You're responsible for operations management including forecasting, budgets, staffing, training, and strategic business developing pertaining to possible acquisitions.

* At least 5-7 years of property and casualty insurance experience with familiarity in business development, sales, marketing, account management and agency operations. Preference given to candidates with a track record of progression into management or with supervisory experience. * Strong desire for leadership, strategic business development, and community involvement in a smaller, multi-line agency. * Hold, or are willing to obtain, P&C and L&H licenses.
