Responsibilities
- Capital University’s Business Department invites applications for a tenure-track position in marketing at the rank of Assistant Professor, effective for the fall 2016 semester. The School of Management and Leadership has 324 undergraduate students and offers baccalaureate degrees in Accounting, Business Management, Financial Economics and Marketing, as well as a number of business-related minors. In addition, the School has a longstanding part-time, evening MBA program, with an enrollment of 154 students and serves the needs of working professionals in central Ohio.
Ideal Candidate
- Qualified candidates must have an earned doctorate or equivalent (ABD considered) in marketing or related field. - Preference will be given to applicants with a specialization in marketing communications; professional/agency experience is highly desirable. - Applicants should have demonstrated effective teaching experience. - Candidates will be expected to teach a variety of marketing courses, including marketing communications, at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, as well as develop internship opportunities in the business community. - As a member of Capital University faculty, the individual is expected to teach assigned courses in accordance with relevant academic policies; conduct research and provide service in the community; advise students; serve the University's communities through participation in Department, School, and University-wide committees, and remain engaged in the local business community.
