Primarily responsible for preparing food for the guests and maintaining kitchen sanitation to Health Department standards.

* Prepares and arranges food according to Canyon Ranch’s recipes, nutrition philosophy and quality of presentation. * Continually updates knowledge of Ranch recipes, food preparation and food presentation. * Performs opening and closing procedures as directed * Reports any discrepancies in recipe procedures, ingredients, yields or measurements to supervisor so the recipes can be corrected.

* A 2-year degree/certificate in culinary arts is preferred, but not required. * A food sanitation certificate is preferred, but not required. * Must have a minimum of two years experience of food preparation, preferably at a resort or hotel. * Must have an aptitude for guest service and take pride in Canyon Ranch’s standards of excellence in food preparation and cleanliness. * Must have a cheerful, positive attitude when working with a variety of people and be able to work well in stressful situations. * Must be able to work any day, any schedule. * Must be neat and clean in appearance.
