We're looking for people who are:

• Research-Driven At Canvas, the UX Designer plays a key role in a project's discovery phase, working closely with a strategist and product manager to define research questions, outline potential research methods, and conduct research.
• We expect that you'll make UX recommendations based on a wide array of information gathered from observations, interviews, analytics, usability testing, and general trends.
• And as we move through the phases of a project, we want you to help keep our design and engineering decisions grounded in that research.
• Entrepreneurial We work with a multitude of clients in different industries, each with a unique business. You are excited by the challenge of digging into these different businesses, whether it be to help win new clients or lay the foundation for a new project.

We want to be leaders, and the UX designer plays an important role helping us get there, pushing our clients and internal teams to consider interesting and meaningful alternatives. • Versatile Our team stays nimble so that we can adapt our processes to fit the circumstances of different projects. In some cases, we may ask you to develop a prototype. In other cases, we may just need a sketch and close collaboration with a visual designer. No matter the situation, we expect that you'll work as an integral part of the project team - which includes product managers, strategists, designers, and engineers - to recommend and produce the best materials to define a great user experience and to deliver a successful product for our clients.

You may not do all the detailing yourself, but we rely on you to help account for every last bit of content, imagine the experience on a multitude of devices, and even review our error states. We love a UX designer who loves details.

To do this job, you'll need:

• 3+ years of experience in User Experience Design

• Experience planning and conducting user research and usability testing with client stakeholders and users

• A portfolio that spans responsive websites and mobile applications, including user flows, wireframes, information architecture, and functional specs

• Skills to build rapid prototypes using either UX tools (Axure, InVision, etc) or code

• Ability to sell your ideas, which means excellent verbal and written presentation skills to communicate clear, concise findings and actionable recommendations

• Impeccable documentation skills

• Willingness to ask hard questions and to be rigorous, persistent, and objective when testing concepts

• Willingness to take the initiative and put in the extra effort to produce stellar work

• A collaborative philosophy that welcomes the opinions of team members from different disciplines, including visual design, engineering, and product management

• Comfort working directly with clients, including presentations to senior management

• Awesome organizational skills and an ability to meet deadlines across multiple projects; comfort "switching gears" on concurrent projects with different UX needs

• Genuine interest in the UX field along with overall digital technologies and trends
