Summary
Analyze supply chain service and internal and external logistics information technology systems, support solution planning to align with Logistics strategy, and work frequently in a small team environment on a variety of projects. Assist with approved technology based projects and coordinate inter-divisional staff & third party logistics staff to achieve successful implementation of programs. Identify and provide guidance and support for staff training in technology areas necessary to support Logistics operations.
Responsibilities
* Supports project team members with assigned deliverables and works toward completing assignments and overall projects against a schedule. Supports preparing and scheduling project status with appropriate members of the project team and parties related. Documents, controls and archives all project information * Maintains budgeting responsibility for individual projects as well as contributes to building strong awareness and adherence to costs and efficiencies within the Logistics Division through data analysis and KPI reporting * Develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and training/testing plans for Corporate Logistics and Distribution Center use related to processes, procedure and application of systems. Analyzes data and proposes improvements to productivity/efficiency within all facets of the corporate and regional Logistics operations * Effectively communicates to internal business colleagues as well as external partners ensuring that Corporate Logistics is meeting or exceeding our customer expectations and requirements. Documents and distributes information on Corporate Logistics activities
Ideal Candidate
* This position requires a bachelor’s degree * Prior work experience is preferred by not required * Requires average of 25% domestic travel to support team projects and operations in warehouses * Requires the ability to carefully analyze business needs and develop methods to deliver training, testing and implementation of systems and policies * Must be able to deal with pressure and stress, be self-directed and work with little/no supervision * Requires advanced skills in the MS Office Suite as well as above average analytical and quantitative skills including the ability to understand statistical analysis theories and methodologies * Must be able to adapt to changing business dynamics and be quick learner of operations and systems * Familiarity and/or experience with Logistics and Supply Chain is strongly preferred * Valid state drivers license and acceptable driving history required
