Summary
Cambridge University Press seeks an experienced Marketing Manager with a proven track record to join our growing Higher Education team. You will be responsible for campaign planning and execution, communications and sales support associated with core textbooks, other adoptable books, and products for the Higher Education market. You will work closely with colleagues in our Editorial, Production and Sales groups to deliver the College team’s targets. This is a dynamic role, and we seek an individual that can offer both strategic direction and tactical acumen, as well as someone who is willing to lead and grow alongside this diverse and prestigious program.
Responsibilities
This role is accountable for the HE team’s marketing budget, ensuring its efficiency and effectiveness in driving profits. Working with the Editorial group, you will provide a market-driven view and data-based market research to help maximize sales potential through the lifecycle of our College products. You will also work closely with the Sales group to support their efforts; a strong understanding of the sales processes and tools required for successful sell-through is expected. You will attend relevant events and conferences, and interact with authors, instructors, end-users and others to gain customer insight and market awareness.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of marketing experience in educational publishing, and familiarity with textbook development and sales cycles, as well as the ancillary product and services needed for successful textbook publishing. Candidates should also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to think strategically and build and maintain collaborative relationships. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
