Summary
CALIBRE, an employee-owned Management Consulting and Information Technology Solutions Company, is looking for Windows Administrator to support work at a Federal client in McLean, VA.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for provisioning, installation and configuration of the system. * Provides operations and maintenance support for the system and related infrastructure. * Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing improvement within the infrastructure. * Provides support to ensure the environment is sustainable, stable and secure. * Supports backup recovery, performance tuning, upgrades/patches, maintenance, troubleshooting, and permissions and file sharing. * Evaluates current systems, and works on complex problems where analysis of situations requires in-depth evaluation of various factors. * Completes assigned tasks related to projects and technical requests, and provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 support. * Provide update to the client and team.
Ideal Candidate
**Required Skills:** * 5+ years of experience supporting Windows environment. * 5+ years of experience in backup recovery, performance tuning, upgrades/patches, maintenance, troubleshooting, and permissions and file sharing. * Knowledge of advance troubleshooting methodologies which provide efficient and effective resolution. * Participates in the evaluation and estimation of work requests and projects. * Create, and maintain necessary documentation/checklists to ensure efficiency and consistency. * Experience in implementing and integrating new system architecture into an existing environment. * Ability to interpret architecture and design configurations from vendors or other teams to enable clear implementation standards and guidelines. * Ability to identify standard monitoring requirements and scripting or applying additional setting requirements. * Experience in using tools for monitoring performance and troubleshooting problems and outages * Professional communication, positive and timely manners in person, on the phone, and via electronic means. * Self-directed and functions with considerable independence. * Be able to work across multiple teams **Required Experience:** * Bachelors in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience. * In-depth knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, and associated troubleshooting techniques. * 8+ years of experience in a Computer Technology or related technical field are required **Clearance Requirement:** * Must be able to obtain DHS clearance **Desired Experience:** * Working with Enterprise Content Management Systems such as Documentum, Captiva and OpenText
