Summary

CafeMedia (formerly CafeMom) seeking a seasoned, aggressive VP of Sales with existing relationships and a proven track record of closing new business and working with America’s best brands and largest agencies.

Over the years, CafeMedia has built a unique capability and platform to rapidly launch, scale, and monetize new properties in an efficient and profitable way. The company, newly named CafeMedia, is continuing our focus on moms but growing to serve a new audience: millennial women. We launched Vivala, a new platform serving millennial Latinas in July 2015, and are planning a new mobile-first site, Revelist.com, to serve the millennial woman.

Responsibilities
  • •Manage a team of sellers across the east coast territory
  • •Drive advertising revenues, meeting and exceeding all sales goals
  • •Develop new business through executive’s own network of contacts and prospecting
  • •Manage and build the business with existing clients
  • •Help shape our overall sales strategy and approach
  • •Directly manage several key accounts
  • •Strategic owner of all key accounts for the east coast territory
  • •Evangelist and lead relationship manager at the senior level for the main agencies and agency holding groups
Ideal Candidate

Skills and Competencies:

  • •Deep understanding of digital ad sales marketplace and extensive industry contacts
  • •Proven closer of new business. An aggressive attitude in getting to the decision maker is essential
  • •Deep understanding of the agency and client landscape and comfort driving opportunity in all contexts
  • •Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret programmatic data patterns
  • •Team player with ability to work in a fast paced, exciting environment
  • •Strong manager who can inspire teams
  • •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • •Detail oriented and organized

*** Education and Work Experience:**

  • •4-year degree required
  • •Minimum 10 years in the digital ad sales space, with at least 3 years managing a team
  • •Prior experience with marketing to women or mom audience a plus
