Summary
CACI is seeking a Systems Modeling Simulation Engineer to provide engineering support at Schriever AFB. Duties will include requirements analysis, system analysis, configuration, execution, testing and operation of simulations for Combatant Command (CCMD) exercises and MDA wargames.
Responsibilities
- Understanding and application of test concepts and methodology, coordinating with OSM, SIU, and I-Sim development teams as well as other BMDS simulations, models, systems and developers. - Communicate analysis, testing and comparison results to the JRDC Event Lead, Mission Engineer, and stakeholders. - Identify new requirements,problems, and fixes for simulations as a result of the analysis/testing in an organized logical manner. - Elicit requirements from users/stakeholders, such as blue force laydown, specific desired model versions or capabilities. - Communicate requirements to the exercise and wargame teams. - Assist the team architects in understanding and translating customer requirements into simulation capabilities and architectures. - Execute the simulations, analyze sim behavior, gather test data, and compare data between simulations. - Configure database queries for post-run reports, including engagement reports. - Coordinate with other System Analysts on issues related to models. - Support the evolution of system capabilities through coordinating with OSM, I-Sim and SIU System Analysts and developers on issues related to their models and aid them in understanding the requirements of needed model behaviors within the simulations. Exercise and wargame support will require flexible schedules, and include domestic and international travel. - Develops new and/or integrates existing system simulation frameworks, performance models and algorithms, threat models and command and control models. - Simulates real-time operations and develops software that simulates behavior of systems. - Develops integrates and uses advanced graphical user interfaces and visualization tools. - Models operational environments, performs trade studies via computer simulation and recommends alternative architectures. - Performs operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis.
Ideal Candidate
**Required Qualifications:** - 5 yrs experience - Bachelors Degree - Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. - Proficiency in Unix, Linux, etc. operating systems. - DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain. - Experience with real-time simulation models. - Candidate must have attention to detail and a demonstrated working knowledge of any of the MDA models. - Experience working in a team environment. - Security + and CE certifications within 60 days. - Travel up to 25%. **Desired Qualifications:** - Tools experience (MS Office, or Matlab). - Experience in Unix shell, Perl, or Java scripting. - Experience in databases such as SQL. - Familiar with OSM, I-Sim or SIU systems and their operation. - Knowledge of BMDS, particularly Patriot, THAAD, Aegis BMD, Arrow, or BMD Sensors. - Experience in Missile Defense domain and Radar Modeling & Simulation.
