Responsibilities
**Basic Functions:** * This position will be responsible for assisting with the internal audit and compliance functions, including assurance testing of primary servicing and special servicing activities, as they relate to C-III’s compliance with the legal, contractual and regulatory requirements under the applicable Pooling and Servicing Agreements or other governing document requirements, and C-III’s policies and procedures. This position will also work with the Director to coordinate general ethics and compliance programs and CMBS industry related training. **Major Duties:** * Work collaboratively with the Director to ensure that all applicable audit and compliance testing is conducted effectively with reporting provided to the respective business groups, as well as meeting on a regular basis to review and discuss internal and external examinations, reviews and reports, to assess any concerns relative to C-III’s internal audit and /or compliance practices; * Assist with the regulatory reporting of Reg AB/USAP, IRS REO REMIC Extension, and IRS 1099 compliance materials; * Maintain and update compliance related matrices for annual compliance reporting, internal audit/ compliance reviews, and servicing transfers; * Assist in the preparation of investor and rating agency presentations; * Assist with training programs and other communications to increase employee awareness of ethics and compliance requirements, as well as CMBS industry related business issues; * Provide reporting on certain operational functions to master servicers, trustees, and investors; * Maintain and update the Audits & Compliance SharePoint site disseminating compliance, audit and policy related information for internal and external distribution; * Stay informed of relevant industry, governmental and regulatory compliance requirements that impact the compliance obligations of the Company.
Ideal Candidate
**Experience:** * Minimum of 3 years of CMBS industry experience; * Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance functions related to CMBS special and primary servicing, as well as assurance testing (preferably in an internal audit, * Compliance or external audit setting); * Preferred knowledge of servicing agreements and/or legal and loan documentation. **Skills:** * Excellent written and oral communication skills; * Detailed and multi-oriented; * Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
