Business Analyst

We provide freight transportation and logistics, outsource solutions, produce sourcing, and information services to 110,000 customers through a network of offices in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.

Qualified individual will first get fully immersed in the pricing operations of a global air freight forwarder. The candidate will learn the business model and function of the branch to get a thorough understanding of office structure and operation process. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing, updating, and maintaining large databases. The candidate will also be responsible with creating completed pricing proposals for both internal and external customers. The role will require critical thinking and analyzing skills as well as data analysis and large scale data manipulation abilities.

• Acquire a thorough knowledge of the branch's operating process, suite of services, competitive advantages, value propositions, needs and growth opportunities
• Use MS Excel to analyze, distribute, and complete multiple projects under strict deadlines
• Facilitate multiple projects simultaneously and support unique ad hoc requests through need communication, innovation and time management
• Create self generated comparative analysis on data with extensive variables
• Provide innovative ideas and solutions in an ever-changing environment
• Understand and become proficient in the use of all applicable reporting tools offered by CHRW. This will include internal and external reporting tools

Technical

• Bachelor Degree – Preferred Business studies
• Required: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Access
• Required: Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Preferred: Familiarity with VBA & Macros in Excel
• Preferred: Knowledge with SQL
• Preferred: Background in Scripting Language (PHP, Python, VB)
