Underwriting Staff, AVP - IOWA

As Assistant VP of Staff Underwriting, you will be responsible for leading a team of three Staff Underwriters and a Business Info Specialist. You and your team will support the regional offices and provide technical expertise. Reporting to the Senior VP/Chief Underwriting Officer, you will provide strategic direction and leadership of company's Middle Market commercial business operation.

* Bachelor’s degree with advanced professional insurance coursework, e.g. CPCU * 10+ years commercial insurance industry experience and solid technical expertise * Direct management experience including experience leading a team, setting priorities and strategy to meet business goals and objectives * Previous experience in Middle Market Commercial Underwriting * Proficiency in data analytics * Highly effective problem analysis and problem resolution skills at both a strategic and functional level * Demonstrated ability to achieve results thru impact and influence
