Business Strategies Analyst

Brookfield Residential Properties Inc. is a leading North American land developer and homebuilder with operations in strategic major markets. We entitle and develop land to create master-planned communities and build and sell lots to third-party builders, as well as to our own homebuilding division. We also participate in selected, strategic real estate opportunities, including infill projects, mixed-use developments, infrastructure projects, and joint ventures.

The overall purpose of this position is to support the Vice President of Business Strategies and Director of Market Research to provide data and analytical support to the Southern California Land and Homes Groups.

Support Business Strategies:

• Support deliverables, including maintain and update business strategies monthly dashboard (regional resale dashboards and new home dash boards)

• Research and analysis to support the following deliverables on a project by project basis:

  • New product design kick-off
  • Acquisition pricing analysis
  • Grand opening pricing analysis
  • Lot sale package market analysis
  • Lot supply analysis by market

• Update competitive market area on monthly basis

  • Track all new and coming soon communities
  • Compile updated sales and pricing data
• Update Metro Study lot inventory files on quarterly basis
• Manage resale activity: compile and analyze resale data from the MLS and other sources on a project by project basis, as needed
• Assist in the annual update of the Southern California Strategic Community Plan
  • Identify data sources
  • Collect and process data
  • Manage compilation of report
  • Manage Land Vision data updates annually
• Track/manage budgets relating to third-party services

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or Marketing, with minimum of two years related experience
• Advanced skills in Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, and Adobe etc., comfortable working with large data tables
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities
• Basic knowledge of LandVision or GIS mapping and spatial analysis, census data, related survey, and demographics, etc.
