Summary
The Database Analyst will support the Sales Administration Manager in the formulation of information and maintenance of BHMS data bases. This includes but is not limited to customer relationship management systems (CRM), syndicated software resources, as well as other data sources essential to BHMS. In addition to maintaining and analyzing data this position will be involved in training and the day-to-day end-user support in the use of the CRM system and syndicated software.
Responsibilities
* Monitoring and maintaining the quality and integrity of data entered into assigned data systems. * Hands-on analyzing data, performing data scrubbing, handling data trends and on a daily basis.. * Generating reports from data base systems; providing complete analytical support including pulling data, organizing analyses and interpreting data. * Delivering Ad hoc reports as needed by Sales Management, Account Executives and other departments. * Assisting in implementing of system upgrades; performing in-depth tests, including end-user reviews * Assisting in maintaining control of access rights, security settings, and user privileges * Assisting in the development and maintenance of training manuals. * Assisting with software training to promote and support standard business practices, operations, and information process flow * Assisting in regular training updates to all associates including monitoring their progress. * Providing individual training sessions to raise competency levels of associates. * Assisting in the preparation of internal or external presentations based on information from data systems. * Providing timely information to management on data anomalies. * Other projects and duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* Candidate must have ability to analyze and think logically. * Advanced skills in MS Excel; working with pivot tables, analyzing large tables of data, comfortable using * V-Lookup and other data analysis formulas * Strong aptitude for correlating data and finding critical data trends. * Proficient in Microsoft Power Point * Must be able to work in a team environment as position will require collaboration among Sales, internal * Support teams and third party vendors. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. * Must be organized, detail-oriented and a self-starter with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. * Must be reliable, team-oriented and possess good problem-solving skills. * Must be able to plan, prioritize and re-prioritize as situations dictate. * Individual must be willing to learn and grow with the organization. * Candidate must have valid driver’s license. * MS Office Suite knowledge; MS Dynamics CRM, MS SharePoint, MS Access * 1-3 years of database management experience in a sales environment * Knowledge of cable industry and media buying is helpful. * Strong knowledge of PC operating systems * Knowledge of software service applications * College degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience * A minimum of 2 years’ experience in media sales or related field is required.
