Responsibilities
Box is seeking a talented and fun Drupal developer for a full-time position to work with various teams on our marketing, sales, and other miscellaneous content sites. To be successful at this position, you must be a self-starter with the ability to take ownership, work under pressure, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You must possess good oral and written documentation skills and be able to interact with other team members to deliver fast and reliable code. You must have experience in developing websites using the Drupal platform on a LAMP technology stack. - Works with other Drupal team members, Senior Product Manager and Senior Project Manager on continuous development of Marketing website - Maintain and develop site: Write custom code (PHP, JavaScript, and CSS), theme and module development, module updates, identifying and resolving bugs. - Estimate and deliver on development tasks with high level of accuracy in an agile-like environment - Ensure product quality, maintainability, performance and scalability - Works collaboratively with Engineering Team and Tech Ops on site dependencies - Analyze client requirements to develop functional and technical software - Deliver products on time - Defines and disseminates technology best practices - On-call for emergency site issues
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Drupal developer with in-depth experience, specifically with custom module development and custom theme development. Creating and applying patches. - Drupal skills including creating views, knowledge of multilingual Drupal implementations - Drupal site architecture and building blocks including content types, fields entities, taxonomy, and menu system. - Experience with Drupal hooks and APIs - Confidently collaborate with team members: Site Owner, Project Manager, Creative Director, Engineering, Tech Ops - Self-motivated, detail oriented and self-organized - PHP (3+ years), jQuery/JavaScript (1+ years) - Experience with creating sites with responsive design - 4-year degree required NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS: - Experience with GitHub as a source control repository (1+ years) - Photoshop (1+ years) - Experience with Jira Bug Tracking tool (1+ years) - Agile experience (1+ years) - Built a site using the Acquia cloud - Comprehensive knowledge of caching layers (apc, memcache, varnish, block and Views cache) - Performance tuning
