Summary
Boston Scientific is leading the way in the structural heart space in providing treatment for stroke reduction and atrial fibrillation with the first left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) technology approved in the U.S. We have an exciting opportunity for Analyst, Health Economics and Reimbursement (HE&R) position available to promote the value of this life-changing therapy. This position will be based in the Cardiac Rhythm Management franchise located in Arden Hills, MN. The Analyst will play an important supporting role to ensure development and implementation of key value tools and resources for HE&R internal and external customers. This individual will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to increase awareness of HE&R competencies and their role in supporting a product or therapy's success. Lastly, in this role, the Analyst must possess strong initiative in working within the organization to help inform, identify, and research key reimbursement issues that will impact and shape how customers view our technologies.
Responsibilities
- 1.Develop and implement health economics and reimbursement activities for BSC working with divisional staff and key internal and external stakeholders. - 2.Implement tactical planning activities required to achieve health economics and reimbursement strategic objectives - 3.Assist in development of key HE&R tools and resources to facilitate high priority launches and emerging procedures - 4.Provide reimbursement support to BSC sales force and key external stakeholders as appropriate - 5.Track changes in health policies that impact BSC technologies and leverage the most appropriate tools to communicate and inform sales and customers - 6.Support new product development teams to ensure HE&R needs are incorporated into product development plans and timelines Educate internal and external customers to increase awareness of HE&R tools and resources - 7.Update and monitor effectiveness of HE&R tools, resources, and calculators to ensure that they continue to meet sales and customers' expectations in highlighting the value of our technologies. - 8.Educate, inform, and highlight changes in reimbursement coverage, coding, and payment to assist with fundamental understanding of the reimbursement landscape for sales, physicians, and hospital partners. **Quality System requirements:** - In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Advanced degree desirable. - Requires 3-5 years of progressive experience producing business and analytical related support, preferably in healthcare medical device, pharmaceutical, or health plan/payer environment. - Expert level and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills a must - Requires ability to clearly define requirements and analysis and good organizational and time management skills - Must have proven capability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals and functions at various levels of the organization. - A general understanding of business, health care, and health coverage issues is highly desirable. - Must have demonstrated problem solving skills in managing and executing projects with a fair amount of complexity
