Senior .NET Developer

Bookbyte is a leading e-commerce retailer, specializing in buying, selling, and renting out used college textbooks. Since its founding in 1999, Bookbyte has grown into one of the most successful independent textbook distributors in the country.

A range of software engineering tasks are required to support the smooth and efficient operation of Bookbyte services. At the highest level this role will help to ensure Bookbyte services will always be fast, available and scalable.

* Monitor and manage availability, latency, scalability and efficiency of Bookbyte services by engineering reliability into software and systems. * Lead design, architecture, standards and methods for our services and systems. * Write code across the full stack - front end web UI, middle tier service layer and the back end DB. * Support and Maintenance of Existing Systems.

* 5 to 7 years or more of Professional Software Development or Architecture experience. * Experience with web technologies such as Asp.net Webforms, Asp.net MVC, HTML,Javascript, Jquery, CSS * Very Proficient at C# and OOP design patterns * Experience implementing/maintaining source control and continuous integration systems. * Experience taking legacy systems and reworking them to be more efficient, scalable, and maintainable. * Must have excellent communication skills. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** * Experience with AWS, AZURE or other cloud services and using their services to solve business problems. * Experience writing code to interact with outside vendors to exchange data * Experience in a Development lead or management role. * Ecommerce experience * Experience with MVC5
