Responsibilities
Bluebeam Software plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in some of the biggest construction projects in the world. Bluebeam's Revu for Windows and iPad applications makes it possible for construction professionals to collaborate in a paperless ecosystem — all the way from initial plans through the last day on the job site. We have HUGE plans for the future of our paperless ecosystem, and we're growing quickly. We're looking for engineering managers to help evolve our products, mature our engineering practices, and lead the teams that build our desktop and mobile software products. Bluebeamers are smart, funny, opinionated, friendly (and quirky, but in a lovable way). We love our customers, and we build products that help them work quickly and accurately. So, if you'd like to help build a kick-butt system, solve some real-world problems, and work with a great team, read on... - Develop and implement hiring plans to align with business goals and priorities - Collaborate with architects, directors, product managers, project managers, quality assurance, and operations to align team direction and product delivery - Ensure team’s understanding of business goals, priorities, and how they align with customer needs and business direction - Coach team members to help them develop their growth path here at Bluebeam - Provide hands on technical team leadership to ensure software development principles are understood and followed - Be an advocate of software quality and ensure the team understands the importance of proper testing, automation, and software design - Contribute to the architecture design and direction of our products
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of managing software development teams - BS or higher in computer science or related field, MS preferred - Strong experience in recruiting and hiring - Coaching/developing bright and talented developers - Comfortable interacting directly with executive team - explaining technical concepts to non-technical people - Experienced practitioner of Scrum or other Agile variant. (not just theoretical knowledge) - End-to-end understanding and appreciation of a software product's lifecycle
