Summary
Reporting to the Head of Marketing for Bloomberg Government and based in Washington, the Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the development, execution and reporting of foundational, awareness, retention and acquisition focused marketing programs in support of our government contracting solutions service at Bloomberg Government. The Marketing Manager will be required to leverage and collaborate across the various Marketing functional areas to execute their marketing programs including but not limited to sales enablement, collateral development, demand generation, live and virtual events, digital marketing, email marketing and direct marketing. A large part of this role with be collaborating and partnering with the GCS business leader and sales to identify new opportunities for growth and develop multifaceted marketing programs to identify, engage and qualify leads for the sales team.
Responsibilities
- Driving campaign execution from strategic planning to implementation through all functional marketing areas as well as internal & external agencies. - Gathering and reporting on campaign results to showcase the value of our marketing efforts. - Managing the creation of collateral for all supporting businesses and developing the internal and external distribution strategy of that content. - Lead the invitation, engagement and follow-up strategies for face to face and virtual client interactions including live events, virtual events and webinars. - Evaluating external awareness and thought leadership opportunities that aid in promotion of Bloomberg Government's government contracting solutions service. - Coordinating email marketing programs from contact strategy to production to deployment that support lead generation and nurturing efforts. - Establishing relationships with the various business teams including product, sales and R&D. - Gaining knowledge of the federal government contracting market andBloomberg Government's services that will ultimately help in the development of marketing programs that provide significant value to the business.
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 7 years of relevant marketing experience, most preferably in a Marketing, Integrated Marketing Communications, agency or consulting environment in an account management or a similar role. Experience in the federal contracting space is highly preferred. - Track record of success in working in and influencing a fast-paced, fast-growing organization. - Experience in successfully operating in an entrepreneurial environment. - Track record of creating and executing marketing strategies that drive results. - Experience in managing end-to-end marketing from analysis and planning through execution of successful marketing programs. - Must have strong technical aptitude characterized by the ability to understand technical concepts, value proposition and benefits and translate them to a variety of audiences. - Agency and/or project management experience of the creative process from project scope and objective setting, brief and program development through production; - Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the proven ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously with multiple audiences and against deadline; - Significant hands-on experience building and executing on marketing programs that leverage multiple channels to achieve marketing and business goals with measurable results. - Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the proven ability to work across different audiences, personalities and experience levels; - Superior communication skills, including writing, editing and verbal capabilities; - Pragmatic sense of business acumen, problem solving abilities, creativity, and sense of "getting things done". - Budget management skills - A bachelor's degree is required.
