- You will act as a local expert in distributed systems and configuration management best practices.
- You will build, design and maintain the platform automation infrastructure using Chef.
- You are able to develop and evangelize sound automation practices enterprise-wide for thousands of engineers.
- You will maintain documentation, training and SLAs for globally managed infrastructure.
- You have recent experience designing reusable infrastructure using Chef best practices.
- You have experience with functional and object-oriented programming best practices & design patterns.
- You have a proven track-record of building and designing reliable, scalable service-oriented web applications/services.
- You have worked on and understand distributed systems and large scale engineering challenges.
- You have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience with Ruby and/or Chef.
- You are a fast learner, capable and willing to use the right tools to get the job done.
- You have previous experience implementing a new, large-scale configuration management& automation infrastructure.
- You have significant experience with configuration management in a mission critical production environment.
