Network Engineer

Candidate must possess good technicalknowledge in multiple networking areas, with a focus on firewall stream, andhave the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and escalate issueseffectively. The candidate must possess solid technical knowledge inadvance networking areas and must have experience in installing, upgrading andmanaging Cisco ASA and Checkpoint firewalls. Also firewall troubleshootingexperience is a must

* Join team in providing operational support, especially as escalation point in Firewall Stream. * Installing, Upgrading, Managing ASA and Checkpoint firewalls * Troubleshooting of firewall issues * Understanding Security risks/concerns and design/deploy remediation efforts * Assist in developing solutions and implement changes * Participate in daily operational support and help deploy routing and switching changes. * Perform network configuration changes in accordance with change management process * Perform root cause analysis for service interruption recovery, creating preventative measures to deploy in the enterprise * Create and maintain network documentation as it relates to network configuration, network diagrams and processes. * Administer all pertinent company standards and procedures (i/e security and change control) as relevant to role * Participate in on-call rotation and shift work

* 5 years of related experience * Solid understanding of networking technologies, specifically knowledge of Cisco ASA and Checkpoint firewall * Proficiency in F5 and Riverbeds is desired * Knowledge of IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP) and troubleshooting skills. * Knowledge of switch configuration and troubleshooting skills * Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and escalate issues effectively * Outstanding written, verbal communication, as well as strong customer service skills * Strong troubleshooting skills
