Accounting Manager

BetterCloud is looking for a highly motivated Accounting Manager to join a market-leading company in one of the fastest growing areas of the world economy - cloud computing. This team member will be joining our NYC team and will report to the Director, Finance.

* Oversees financial close of all accounts and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with company’s accounting procedures and appropriate GAAP and regulatory requirements in a timely manner * Coordinating the collection, integrity, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data * Liaison for external audits. Manage and coordinate all aspects of various financial and operational audits. * Develops, implements, and maintains internal control procedures * Review and approve all journal entries, workpapers and analysis completed by accounting team members * Identifying and developing financial close and reporting process improvements to maximize the efficiency of the accounting team * Oversee day-to-day operations of accounting team (accounts receivable and accounts payable) along with ad-hoc projects * Lead a growing team accounting team

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required * Minimum 4-6 years of professional experience as an accountant * CPA certification is required * Advanced Excel skills is required * Experience in Netsuite, Zuora, Salesforce & Expensify is a plus * Thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, start-up experience is a plus * Demonstrate strong communication skills, including the ability to create professional messaging
